A 28-year-old man who was found in possession of €51 worth of cannabis was given the benefit of the Probation Act at this week’s sitting of Ballina District Court.
Gardaí searched the residence of Mark Cawley, 5 The Arches, Ballina on November 18 2011. Cawley admitted the cannabis found was for his own use.
The defendant, who has no previous convictions, was directed by Judge Mary Devins to contribute €150 to the No Name Club and the Probation Act was applied.
