It is Christmas and Clara receives a nutcracker doll as a Christmas present. Asleep under the Christmas tree, at the stroke of midnight, the magic begins. Clara is swept along into a world of mice and soldiers, caught in a snowflake blizzard and swept into the kingdom of the sweets, with the delectable Sugar Plum Fairy. A sparkling Christmas classic.
Ballet Ireland, Ireland’s national ballet company will present the magical Christmas favourite, The Nutcracker in the Royal Theatre, Castlebar on Tuesday, December 11. Doors are open at 7pm with the show at 8pm. Tickets cost €20 per adult, €15 per child, and €12.50 each for groups of 10 or more.
