Singer Tommy Fleming is fronting a major fundraising drive by the Mayo branch of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland. The charity chair auction, which takes place on November 16 in Breaffy House Hotel is an optional black tie event offering a great opportunity to dust down those evening dresses, call your friends, buy a table and have a great time. Music will be by Avalon.
The night is to be a fun event to raise much needed funds for the branch with a host of famous faces having already signed a chair for the auction. An Taoiseach Enda Kenny will be a special guest.
Whether you are a country music fan, sporting enthusiast, or whatever your interest, there will be a chair there for you.
There will also be a number of competitions on the night with great prizes on offer starting with a fashion show challenge, up and coming hat designers, best chair design, and lots more. One of the top prizes in the raffle is a signed Man United shirt.
Tickets cost €35 for individuals and €300 for a table of 10 and must be purchased in advance. Price includes a drinks reception and a glass of wine with dinner. Entry after 11pm costs €10, payable in advance.
One of the treats of the evening is a seventies themed food extravaganza, starting with a seventies style reception.
