Do you want the skills to work in and understand the sport and active leisure industry?

If so, this City and Guilds Level 2 sport and active leisure course will give you the skills you need for understanding how the body works, how to lead a healthy lifestyle, how to encourage people to get active, and how to organise sporting events.

The six month course will cover a range of units, which allow the learner to understand and experience the sports industry from a physiological, sociological, and practical learning aspect. The units are delivered using a variety of teaching methods to ensure full appreciation of the course and that success is achieved.

The following units will be covered: Anatomy and physiology; sports injuries; health, safety, and welfare in sport and active leisure; understanding the active leisure and learning sector; safeguarding and protecting children and young people in sport and active leisure; participating in sport; factors affecting participation in sport and physical activity; and leading a healthy lifestyle.
