Management programmes to be discussed at joint seminar

Castlebar Chamber of Commerce and Network Mayo are hosting an information evening to discuss two management programmes which should hugely benefit SMEs by giving them advice on how to run their business in future.

The Management Team Development Programme and the Managing Director Action Programme seminar will take place on Thursday, October 11, in Breaffy House Resort from 6pm to 7pm and will be presented by Mike Gaffney, Leap Advisors, Galway, and Liz Cassidy, Management Works, Galway.

This is a ‘not to miss’ information session as these programmes are heavily supported by the Government’s Action Plan for Jobs 2012.

The Management Team Development Programme is suitable for SME senior managers and is scheduled to run over six months. It comprises 12 facilitated workshops on the key areas of effective leadership with an emphasis on increased self awareness, personal growth, and the development by the management team of effective company behaviours which will deliver a dynamic culture for achievement.

The Managing Director Action Programme, which is suitable for owner managers/directors, will be run over six months. The programme is made up of eight half-day workshops and 10 mentoring sessions. Mentoring will be a combination of individual and small group sessions. A “Company Health Check” will be undertaken at your initial workshop and mentor session to prepare for the remaining programme.

This business information session is a direct follow on from the recent successful Mayo Business Networks event, ‘The Leadership Challenge’.
