Connolly welcomes funding for Mayo Abbey Sewerage Scheme

Fine Gael member of Mayo County Council, Cllr Tom Connolly, has welcomed the news that €500,000 has been sanctioned by the Minister for the Environment, Mr Phil Hogan TD, towards the development of the Mayo Abbey Sewerage Scheme.

“This is a very significant development for the area and great news for the people of Mayo Abbey. I was delighted when I got the news that this has been given the go-ahead as a lot of work was put into progressing it to this stage. In particular, I’d like to pay tribute to Deputy John O’Mahony for his input. He has campaigned for this project for a long time and it’s great to see all that hard work come to fruition,” said Cllr Connolly.
