Castlebar salon finalist in Connacht Salon of the Year awards

Kelly’s Hair and Beauty, Castle Street, Castlebar has been selected as a finalist in the 10th annual Schwarzkopf Professional Irish Hairdressing Business Awards which will take place in the Mansion House, Dublin on Monday, October 22. The salon will compete in the prestigious category of ‘Connacht Salon of the Year.’

The awards, which this year will celebrate their 10th anniversary, recognise exceptional business acumen and the most talented and committed salons in the Irish hairdressing industry.

Maire Kelly-Moore, owner of the salon, commented: “We are delighted to receive the nomination for the Schwarzkopf award for Connacht Salon of the Year 2012. The team at Kelly’s are honoured to be celebrating 80 years of business this coming November and the addition of two more family members into the business so it’s a really exciting time for us. To win the award would be a fantastic way to top off what has so far, been a great year for the team.”

Among this year’s judging panel are Schwarzkopf global business ambassador Antony Whitaker; John Russell Barker, financial director of Mahogany Salons Group; and Sarah Manning, editor of Creative Head magazine.

Lee Bradshaw, national sales manager, Schwarzkopf Professional Ireland, commented: “Once again the salons of Ireland have shown incredible support for the Irish Hairdressing Business Awards ensuring that our 10th anniversary ceremony will be bigger and better than ever. Not only were submissions up 47 per cent on 2011 but the quality of entry has once again set the bar even higher. I would like to wish all of our finalists the very best of luck and look forward to seeing them at the Mansion House on October 22.”
