Mayo woman is IDA’s new west regional manager

Knockmore native Catherina Blewitt has recently been appointed as west regional manager for IDA Ireland.

Ms Blewitt is responsible for promoting foreign direct investment and leading the IDA’s regional development agenda in the west region which consists of counties Galway and Mayo.

She has more than five years’ experience in the global investment environment with IDA Ireland, and previously held executive positions within IDA’s Property, West Regional Development, and Corporate Communications divisions.

Ms Blewitt is an NUIG and UCD graduate, holding a master’s in regional and urban planning and development from UCD.

Prior to working with IDA Ireland, Ms Blewitt was employed as a planning consultant by Galway County Council.
