The Newbridge Silverware Escort of the Year at the 2012 Rose of Tralee International Festival is Ian Cullinane from Galway. Ian, the Escort to the Mayo Rose Dervla Kenny.
He has won a prize bonanza from Newbridge Silverware valued at over €10,000. This will include: a cheque for €5,000, a complete set of silver-plated cutlery personalised with the winners family crest and the gents style collection of watches and cufflinks as endorsed by Newbridge Silverware Ambassador, Ronan O`Gara.
Ian works as a trainee accountant for ESB. He is a member of Bective Rangers Rugby Football Club and enjoys cooking, listening to music and swimming in his spare time.
The 32 Roses and 32 Escorts all voted for the person who they regarded to be the top man at the festival, while the Escorts were not allowed to vote for themselves.
