Supporting Women Entrepreneurs Mentoring and Business Seminar is now open for registration.
The event, launched by Hildegard Naughton, will take place in the Salthill Hotel on September 14 2012 from 11.30pm to 5.00pm.
This is an initiative between the Galway Chamber of Commerce and BPW Galway (Business and Professional Women of Galway ). It is an excellent opportunity for those interested in setting up a business, or just in the early stages of development, to meet experts in their field who will provide them with good advice and get them thinking.
Ballina business woman Tracey Glacken, accountant and owner of Glackens accountants and auditors, will mentor at the business and mentoring seminar in Galway. Ms Glacken, who has also been appointed an EU Female Entrepreneurship Ambassador is involved in a two-year EU Commission programme to mentor two local start-up businesses. She said: “Over the past number of years I have developed my keen interest in training and mentoring small businesses/start ups. The event in Galway is an excellent opportunity for budding female entrepreneurs to meet with the mentors on one-to-one basis and receive some very valuable advice.”
Ms Glacken will be joined by Westport-based owner of Irish Business Intelligence and secretary of Network Ireland, Olwen Dawe. Ms Dawe will be facilitating the afternoon panel discussion entitled Supporting Female Entrepreneurship in Europe, featuring a wide-range of speakers, including representation from the European Commission, BPW, the Women’s Organisation UK, and Swedish Entrepreneurship.
