Gardaí in Castlebar are seeking witnesses to an altercation that led to one man in his 30s needing to receive hospital treatment this week.
The incident occurred just outside the front door of Mayo General Hospital at around 3pm on Wednesday November 26, when two families got involved in an altercation. A spokesperson for the Gardaí told the Mayo Advertiser that they are seeking members of the public who were in the area and witnessed the incident to contact Castlebar Garda Station on 094 903 8200.
Gardaí also confirmed that they are satisfied that there was no third party involved in an incident that led to a 60-year-old man receiving treatment in the intensive care unit of Mayo General Hospital this week. The Gardaí were called to a residence on Castle Street, Castlebar on Monday evening (November 24 ) and carried out a full investigation and are satisfied that it was an accident.
