Following on from their recent run at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar of their production of Jimmy Keary’s, Fortunes and Misfortunes - Parke Arts and Drama Group are looking towards their next big project. The group will get things moving when they hold their AGM, next Thursday night at 9pm in the Parke Community Centre at 9pm. At the meeting consideration will be given to their next production and the charity they will be supporting from it.
The group who were winners of the EBS Award for “Making the Difference in the Community in 2010” and over the last three years have given €4,000 from their stage performances to deserving causes including Western Alzheimers, Enable Ireland, Hospice Uganda, Kilimanjaro Climb and the Irish Red Cross and most recently Mayo Autism Ireland. Parke Drama Group are a voluntary ‘not for profit local community group’ supporting adult and youth participation in arts amd drama.
