Back to bad old days of drink driving - Devins

A district court judge has described as “alarming” the number of people appearing before her on charges of drink driving.

Judge Mary Devins was commenting at Ballina District Court last week after a number of people with particularly high readings of alcohol consumption appeared before her.

“It appears that we’re back to the bad old days of drink driving. It’s very alarming and it’s obvious that it straddles all ages and genders,” she said.
