The members of the Cultural, Education, Heritage and Corporate Affairs SPC of Mayo County Council have called for the members of the public to have their say on the new Garda Strategy Statement which is currently being formulated. The strategy statement will run from 2013 to 2015 and submissions from the public are being sought.
Chairperson of the SPC, Cllr Al McDonnell, this week said, “I hope that anyone who has observations or wants to make submissions for this strategy does.” Cllr McDonnell and the other members complimented the work that has been done locally by the Gardaí, especially in the Joint Policing Committees throughout the county.
If anyone wants to make a submission they have until Tuesday, August 7 2012 to make them in writing to Dep Commissioner SCM, Garda Headquarters, Phoenix Park, Dublin 8, or by email to [email protected]
