Fifty jobs announced for Mayo

Up to 50 jobs are to be created in Mayo by a Sligo based home care provider.

Bluebird Care made the jobs announcement following the company’s recent appointment as an HSE approved provider for enhanced homecare packages.

A total of 75 jobs are to be created in total and the company has plans to open a Mayo office, the Mayo Advertiser has learned.

The positions will come on stream over the next six months and will be open to care workers, live-in care workers, and support workers throughout Mayo and Sligo.

Operating since 2009, Bluebird Care staff pride themselves on delivering the highest level of care within the community.

Kevin McMorrow, director of Bluebird Care Sligo and Mayo, commented: “This recruitment drive marks a doubling of our team from 75 to 150. These are vital jobs for the region and we look forward to interviewing potential candidates. We deliver high standards so will be expecting similar high standards from applicants. All Bluebird Care staff are FETAC accredited but also benefit from ongoing professional development training while with us. So it’s more than a job, we are offering a career.”
