For an evening of fresh and original folk music look no further than River Mouth, performing with special guest Luke Davis at the Linenhall Arts Centre on Thursday, August 16 at 8pm.
River Mouth is an upcoming young original folk band from Bristol fronted by Zoë Davis, daughter of Castlebar-born singer/songwriter Luke Davis.
The band’s music is an infusion of Folk and Celtic Irishness with a twist, with lyrics in a mixture of Irish, Welsh and English and a strong line in melody and harmony delivered by all members. River Mouth has performed at Bristol Folk Festival, and their songs are showcased on the EP The Other One. The band’s line-up comprises Zoë Davis (vocals, flute ), Sion Williams (guitar, sax, vocals ), Paul Outen (percussion ) and Chris Goodman (vocals, guitar ).
Appearing with River Mouth for this special concert is Luke Davis, who has been an enduring musical presence since he first came to public attention in 1989 with an appearance on RTÉ’s Nighthawks and subsequently reached the finals of RTÉ/BBC’s Go For It and Let Me Entertain You.
