Catholic Grandparents Association spreading ‘like wildfire’

The Catholic Grandparents Association is spreading across the world like wildfire in the wake of recent high-profile appearances at the International Eucharistic Congress in Dublin and at the World Family Congress in Milan.

The Catholic Grandparents Association’s founder, Catherine Wiley, a grandmother of 10 from Mayo, said she was “overwhelmed by the extraordinary international interest in the CGA in Dublin and Milan. Everybody wanted to know more about us. They all want to start branches in their countries. It's spreading like wildfire!

“Ordinary grandparents anywhere in the world can set up a local branch. All they need to do is to contact us and we’ll give them materials and advice on getting started.”

Ms Wiley says: “We all know that our church needs to be re-evangelised and who better than the wisest the oldest to help? The older generation love and treasure their faith and want to pass it on.”

The CGA’s annual pilgrimage will take place in Knock on September 9.
