Local councillor Richard Finn formally proposed that the development subject to the part 8 proceed as proposed. He complemented the local Mayo Abbey Community Council and Development Association for the great work and initiative shown down through the years. Cllr Finn also thanked Mayo County Council staff and management for their help and co-operation towards the Mayo Abbey Community over the years in the areas of water, housing, sewage, and infrastructure. “This historical village is a credit to everyone concerned,” he concluded.
