A man who parked his car in an obstructive manner was convicted and fined at this week’s sitting of Castlebar District Court.
On December 7 2011 at 1pm, Garda Declan Glynn observed the car of Khairul Imi Na Muhammad Najmi, Brookville, Newport Road, Castlebar, obstruct the flow of traffic at Knockcroghery; three quarters of the traffic lane was obstructed by the vehicle.
The garda went to search for the owner but to no avail. The car was seized and a fixed penalty notice was not paid
The defendant has no previous convictions.
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined the defendant, who was not in court, €250.
