The chairman and members of the Diocesan Pastoral Council of the Archdiocese of Tuam are pleased to announce the launch of a new magazine aimed at improving communications between the Church, the clergy and parishioners.
The launch of the magazine, New Dawn, took place last night (Thursday ) at the McWilliam Park Hotel, Claremorris.
New Dawn is planned to be published on a quarterly basis and the magazine will shine a spotlight on the vast range of activities throughout the archdiocese, exploring the changes in the Catholic Church as the laity, through pastoral councils and cluster groups, take on a greater role supporting the work of the Church.
Fr Fintan Monahan, secretary to the Archdiocese, is the editor of New Dawn said: “The intention of the editorial board is to ensure the magazine is responsive to the needs of the people and reflects what is happening in the church, at the level of the clergy, at pastoral council level and among young people.”
