The Parkinson’s Association of Ireland (PAI ) wishes to point out that the article titled ‘Mayo Parkinson’s patients receiving third-world care’, published in last week's edition of this newspaper, should not have quoted Marian Newman, chairperson of the Mayo branch of the PAI. This is an error solely of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland, which sent the article to this publication without Ms Newman’s approval. The quotes should have been issued in the name of Una Anderson Ryan, director of the Parkinson’s Association of Ireland.
