Castlebar-born singer Elaine Madden brings her wonderful vocal talents to the Linenhall Arts Centre in Castlebar for a highly anticipated evening of song on Thursday, June 28 at 8pm.
Elaine’s reputation as a talented vocalist has been steadily growing both in musical circles and among the general public. For this special night of music she explores the evolution of the Irish love song. Although interested in many genres, Elaine’s love of Irish-grown music has inspired her to take a closer look at the Irish penchant for the Amhrán Grá. Accompanying her will be fellow vocalist and guitarist Barry Jennings, who, having found success with local band Social Welfare, will be showcasing his talents as a soloist and as part of the duet. With influences ranging from Led Zeppelin to Michael Jackson, he is as eclectic as he is talented. His rich tenor voice is a perfect match for Elaine's vocals and this combination promises to make this a night not to be missed.
