Two Mayo firms are featured in a new book examining Irish experiences of corporate social responsibility. Corporate Social Responsibility – A Guide, with Irish Experiences profiles eight Irish firms including KPS Colourprint from Knock, and Blackfield Coffeeshop and Surf School from Achill Island. Both are described by the author, Dr Sheila Killian of University of Limerick, as examples of good practice in different aspects of CSR.
President Michael D Higgins commented: “I am delighted to send warm greetings on the publication of this book focusing on smaller Irish companies. It is so worthwhile to create a business publication with its focus on social values, the values that drive smaller firms to provide services for local communities – from actual service-provision to people management within the firms.”
The book, Corporate Social Responsibility – A Guide, with Irish Experiences, on sale from June 20, costs €25.
