The Jesus & Mary Congregation in Ireland and Gortnor Abbey Secondary School in particular, are celebratng their centenaries in 2012. Gortnor Abbey’s centenary celebrations will be held over the weekend of September 28, 29 and 30, 2012.
As part of its celebrations, Gortnor Abbey is publishing a centenary commemorative book which will include a brief history of the school, photographs, and articles of interest from down through the years. To this end an invitation is issued for articles and photographs from past pupils, members of staff, past and present, for inclusion in the publication.
Submissions of fond memories, funny stories, friendships made, sporting, theatrical memories or otherwise in relation to the school, are all welcome as soon as possible.
