It is all about doing something colourful this year on 1 Day for Rehab and leading the way are Polly and Dolly, the two 1 Day for Rehab motors that are travelling the country looking for your signature. 1 Day for Rehab is sponsored by Covidien, a leading global provider of healthcare products. The Polly mobile will be cruising into Westport and Castlebar from May 31 to June 2. Children and grown-ups will have the opportunity to show their support for people with disabilities, and others who are marginalised, by signing the car and making a donation of just €2 to support local Rehab services in Mayo.
Kevin Bourke, fundraising representative, said: “We’re really looking forward to Polly making a pit stop in Westport and Castlebar. The signing will be a fun way for people to make their mark, much like Rehab’s services have done in local communities throughout Ireland for many years. I would encourage everyone to visit us in Westport and Castlebar to show their support for our work in Mayo. It’s not every day you get to sign a car without getting into trouble!”
Public donations from 1 Day for Rehab go to fund services in those local communities so that those accessing these services may maximise their experience and potential as much as possible.
