Summer dancing with John Hogan, the Offaly Rover

Described as the small band with the big sound John Hogan and his band are back at the Royal Theatre on Saturday June 2 for a night of summer dancing. Hogan and his band are long established as one of Ireland’s top party bands. Over the years they have played many functions, street festivals, dance halls, and concert theatres.

With numerous television appearances and a string of hit records, lead singer John Hogan is known far and wide. A true professional who has a wealth of experience behind him, John Hogan hit the country music scene with a bang in 1987 when he took a gamble and spent his mortgage money to realise a dream. He recorded a song called ‘Brown Eyes’ that was taught to him by his mother. The song was an instant hit shooting straight into the top 10 of the Irish charts. This year John celebrates 25 years in the music business and his 25th anniversary album is now on release. Join John Hogan and his band on Saturday night, June 2, for a great night of dancing at the Royal Theatre, Castlebar. Tickets are €10 and are available on the door on the night. Doors open 10pm.
