The Irish Heart Foundation’s Happy Heart Weekend takes place from May 10 to 12. Every €2 raised from the sale of happy heart badges will help stop 13 people dying suddenly everyday from heart attack and stroke in Ireland.
Using his time to make a difference is exactly what Mayo volunteer Peter McHugh from Ballinrobe plans to do this Happy Heart Weekend. Peter said: “Everyone has been touched by heart disease and stroke and by volunteering I feel I am doing my bit to keep hearts beating. I feel good knowing that every happy heart I sell will help patients and families get the support and advice they need right here in Mayo and around the country.”
