The award-winning world of Nicole and Martin returns to Ireland for the second time with three days of performances in Castlebar. With them they bring to the Harlequin Centre Car Park, (beside Boots ) the renowned White Tent and a plethora of canvas and wood marquees that together create a magical world of tents, flags and lights, old-fashioned circus caravans, and modern glossy-red horse power.
Inside The White Tent the world of theatre and Grimms’ fairytales comes to life. Ancient folk tales take on a new guise with the unique storytelling style of the talented Swiss-French duo Nicole and Martin. Children and adults alike are taken on a journey to another world. The stories are played out with a colourful mix of words, music, song, dance, juggling and acrobatics. The extraordinarily high quality of the productions and the breathtaking skill of the artists open a door on these wonderful tales to reveal not only the exuberance of their telling but their hidden wisdom. On July 19 at 7pm, they will perform The Musicians of Bremen, then on July 20 at 7pm, it will be The Fisherman and his Wife and they will wrap up with the Irish premier of The Girl Without Hands on July 21 at 7pm. Tickets for each show are €15 and are available from the Royal Theatre Box Office on 0818 300 000 or 094 90 23111. Family tickets for two adults and two children cost €45.
