Emmett’s on Abbey Street, Ballina has been established for more than 20 years as one of the best live music venues in Mayo. It’s been home to all genres of music from rock to blues through folk and country. This weekend there is another line up of great live music in the venue. Kicking off tonight, Friday, April 27 the ever popular Breathe will be taking to the stage, along with acoustic duo Ross and Dean. On Saturday night, it’s going to be a night of rock and blues with Blister. On Sunday night, the ‘Mama of Soul’ Christina Forde and her band will be bringing the weekend to a close.
Emmett’s is a renowned centre of excellence for quality performances hosting guests such as the legendary Henry McCullough of Paul McCartney and Woodstock fame who’ll be in Emmett’s again in July, and Rob Strong who is coming back by popular demand in June. Also slated to take to the stage in Emmett’s again in the near future include Don Baker, Paddy Casey and Will Killeen.
