2012 Masters Challenge

Castlebar Golf Club ran its 2012 Masters Challenge in conjunction with the 2012 US Masters in Augusta which proved a great success with a huge number of members and friends entering to try to win the €500 first prize.

Entrants to the Masters Challenge selected 6 golfers from a provided list of 2012 US Masters. Each entrant’s score was then calculated as the total finishing scores of the 6 golfers at the end of the US Masters and this led to much changes in the table of leaders after each round with it being virtually impossible to predict who would win the challenge at any stage.

Well done to Margaret Tigue on her very astute selections and winning the first prize in the 2012 Castlebar Golf Club Masters Challenge of €500! Mary Glynn came 2nd to win €300 while third prize and €200 went to Pat Grant & J. Van Veen who finished on a total score of 22 points while Sarah Reddington won 4th prize of €100 with her selection scoring a total of 21 points.
