The Irish Cancer Society is looking for volunteers for its Community Health Education Volunteer Programme (CHEP ) to the West of Ireland in 2012.
The CHEP programme trains volunteers to deliver cancer awareness information talks to community groups. You don’t need to have medical training to become a CHEP volunteer, you just need to be passionate about getting positive messages out to adults, from all backgrounds, and empowering them to make changes in their lives.
A two day training course will take place on May 18 and 19 in the Sligo Park Hotel, Sligo.
More information and enrolment forms are available from Rosemary Scott by emailing rscott@irishcancer.ie or calling 01 231 0579.
