The first Castlebar Tidy Towns Good Friday clean up takes place on Friday April 6 from 10am until noon, assembling at SuperValu, Castlebar.
Tidy Towns chairman Ger Deere said: “A lot of Tidy Towns groups around the country use Good Friday to kick-start the Tidy Towns campaign and the Castlebar Tidy Towns committee have decided to follow suit. This event will be the start of weekly clean ups that will take place every Sunday morning, from 10am until 11am, from Sunday April 15, again assembling at SuperValu.”
The committee welcomes any assistance that the public can give to the Tidy Towns group in any of its activities during the year. Litter pickers, bibs, bags, and gloves are available to groups and individuals who can assist.
