Detox in a nutshell

Did you know that the lungs, skin, kidneys, liver, colon and more are used by our bodies to detoxify? In today’s world people accumulate toxins faster than they can be expelled by the body’s natural processes.

We are exposed to toxins in the air we breathe, the water we drink, and the food we eat. They can be in the form of pesticides on vegetables, herbicides, toxic metals, plastics, and processed foods. Our body also produces toxins which result from our normal metabolic processes, stress, and any illness that we are suffering.

These toxins are not just sitting there waiting their time to be eliminated, they are causing disease. There are a number of symptoms that indicate the need for detox; and a simple detox can help relieve, among others: unexplained fatigue; mood swings; recurring infections; poor concentration; digestive complaints; depression; sleeping problems; irritability; and aching joints.

Actively detoxing our system is an easy way to help our body to do its own healing and protect itself against disease.

Fill your diet with detox friendly foods such as cruciferous vegetables (cauliflower, broccoli, brussels sprouts, and cabbage ). These will support the detoxification process. Gradually increase your fruit and vegetable intake as they offer a great deal of detoxification support.
