The Learning Curve Institute is bringing French and Spanish for intermediates to Mayo Education Centre, Castlebar in April.
The course programme is aimed at people who have studied French and Spanish before and who wish to improve their fluency and writing skills.
Liam Printer, head of languages at The Learning Curve Institute, stated: “It is a perfect follow-on course from our FETAC Level 3 or 4 beginners course with The Learning Curve Institute, and is meant as a preparation course for the FETAC Level 5 intermediate course”.
There are no exams but there is a specific emphasis on learning to speak and write in everyday language on these courses. Students will learn how to form sentences, write and converse using more complex phrases and grammar tenses and will be encouraged and helped to speak as much as possible in the classroom to increase fluency and confidence.
The Learning Curve Institute (LCI ) is certified by FETAC and boasts a host of expert lecturers in the fields of languages, addiction, mental health, social studies and communications. The LCI delivers their FETAC courses in education centres all over the country.
The language courses comprise two hours of lectures per week for eight weeks with the Mayo classes running from Tuesday April 17 to Tuesday June 5.
