Free hearing tests will be available in Mayo throughout Hearing Action Week 2012 which takes place from Monday March 26. The free tests will be provided by Hidden Hearing at its clinics in Earl Street Medical Centre; The Surgery, Market Lane, Westport; Ciara McHugh Optometrists, New Street, Ballinrobe; Ballina Medical Centre, Kevin Barry Street, Ballina; and James Street Clinic, Claremorris.
Hearing Action Week is an all island national awareness campaign run by Hidden Hearing in association with the Irish Deaf Society highlighting the issue of hearing loss. This year the campaign will focus on encouraging people to take action on their hearing loss, highlighting that some people delay for up to 15 years in addressing the issue.
