The WhistleBlast Quartet – Ken Edge (saxophones and clarinet ), Mary Curran (French horn ), Síle Daly (oboe and cor anglais ) and Andrew Synnott (piano ) – a group of professional classical musicians is performing a fabulous and accessible concert at 7.30pm on Sunday, March 11 in Belmullet. The programme features a short version of Prokofiev’s Peter and the Wolf, narrated and arranged by Ken Edge, Stravinsky Miniatures, Paganini Variations on solo saxophone, film music and more. The performance is for all ages and musical tastes and is bringing this wonderful mini-orchestra to Belmullet’s modern and innovative arts centre, Áras Inis Gluaire.
