Leaving Cert French and Spanish oral courses return to Castlebar due to increased demand

National FETAC accredited training and education specialists, The Learning Curve Institute, will again deliver its highly popular Leaving Cert French and Spanish oral course on Saturday February 25 in The Mayo Education Centre, Castlebar.

Liam Printer, director and head of languages at the LCI, has developed a multi-platform approach to language learning and revision for the Leaving Certificate, based on small class sizes and innovative language learning methods.

Mr. Printer says the use of technology can help students to learn in different ways.

“Teenage life today is techno-centric. By using social networking sites, podcasts, and other means of interactive learning, our Leaving Cert students become really interested in the language and the whole learning process then becomes easier.”

The Learning Curve Institute takes revision a step further by collecting pre-course questionnaires from each student by email to ensure the material covered on the course reflects their precise needs. In addition it offers students a unique support system with direct access to lecturers for advice and a customised podcast on techniques and tips in the days leading up to the exams.

“The response from the students on last year’s oral courses was incredible. Spaces are extremely limited due to the small class size of just eight to 10 students so I advise parents and students to get in quick if they want to secure a place.”
