Prices for renting houses in Mayo showed another decline in the fourth quarter of 2011 according to the latest Daft Rental Report. The report states that the average rent in the Mayo region in the last quarter was €564, a year on change of a 2.6 per cent reduction.
In the entire Connacht region the average rent is €562, a year on change of a 1.4 per cent decline. Figures for the region show that rent for a one bed averages at €391, €468 for a two bed, €609 for a three bed, €640 for a four bed, and €702 for a five bed house.
Nationally, rents were largely static in Dublin, however rent rose in Cork, while rents in Limerick, Waterford, and Galway declined.
