Minister of State Michael Ring has welcomed the announcement of funding allocation for local projects from the Department this year.
“I particularly welcome the funding for the junction at Polranny, Achill, in the amount of €10,000, and the funding for the junction at Logjody, Newport, in the amount of €25,000,” Minister Ring said.
“I also welcome the allocation of €175,000 for the Bunowen Bridge at Louisburgh and the allocation of €150,000 for the Delphi Bridge, Louisburgh.
“The block grant of €195,000 which has been given to Westport Town Council is also welcome.
“This funding is needed to carry out vital works and I am pleased that the Department has recognised this and sanctioned the relevant funding. I welcome these announcements for this area.”
