Cllr Patsy O’Brien has called for new layout plans for a junction at Scardaune, Garrymore, which leads up to the sports complex in the village. Senior executive engineer for Mayo County Council Tom Ferrick told the meeting that he had priced this junction two to three years ago and there would have to be some land acquisition by the council and he was not in a position to say if the landowner would sell it. He told the meeting he would make drawings for a proposed change to the junction available to the members.
