A man from Castlebar was convicted and fined this week after he was detected using green diesel in his vehicle.
Customs pulled in Larry O’Shaughnessy, Derryhick, Parke, Castlebar, on October 11 2010 at Kilkelly, Castlebar, where they took a sample from his vehicle. The driver admitted that he put the green diesel into the vehicle himself
Judge Mary Devins convicted and fined him €5,000, which was mitigated to €3,000.
