The next meeting of the Mayo Stroke Support Group is scheduled for 2pm on Thursday January 12 in the Newman Institute in Ballina.
The Stroke Support Group is for people living with the experience of stroke and their carers/family members. Meetings are held monthly and have been running successfully since November 2010. They are held on the second Thursday of every month (excluding July and August ).
The group aims to facilitate social activities, provide information, raise awareness, and offer support and advice on living with stroke.
The Mayo Stroke Support Group has a varied calendar of activities planned for 2012 including informative talks by healthcare professionals, yoga and light exercise, and tips for spring planting, as well as the usual tea and chat afterwards.
