American country legend Don Williams has confirmed an Irish tour to take place next April. The Country Music Hall of Fame inductee who has amassed 17 number one hits throughout his career will play the Royal Theatre, Castlebar, on Friday April 20, 2012.
A true giant of country music, Don has returned to touring after taking a break from the road when his wife became seriously ill. This is the last time that Don will be playing in Ireland.
There are few American classics these days, but Don Williams is certainly one of them. Don Williams is one of the biggest selling country acts of all time , with hits including “I Recall A Gypsy Woman”, “Amanda”, “You’re my Best Friend”, “I’ve Got a Winner In You”, “Tulsa Time”, and “Some Broken Hearts Never Mend” that have been firm favourites of Irish country music fans for decades.
Special guest on the night will be Colm Kirwan, one of Ireland’s newest and most exciting country stars.
