What I Can Do and What I Have To Say is an exciting arts project between Áras Inis Gluaire and The Western Care Association in Belmullet. The project is to celebrate International Arts Disability Day.
Four service users from Western Care, Michael, Nora, Hugh, and Rita have produced an eclectic art mix showcasing their skills.
The group have worked with artist Claire Griffin over a 10 week period in Áras Inis Gluaire.
This is the first joint venture between Áras Inis Gluaire and Western Care. The project used art as therapeutic and educational as well as for its own merit.
The work produced will be launched on Friday December 2 at 8pm by Minister Michael Ring.
The exhibition will run for the month of December. Mayo County Council Arts Office, The Western Care Association, and Áras Inis Gluaire jointly funded the project.
