A man in his 50s was killed on Monday after he was struck by a train near Foxford.
The accident occurred around 7pm when the train was travelling from Ballina to Manulla Junction .
The deceased was brought to Mayo General Hospital but was dead on arrival.
The man has been named as Pascal Doherty, Foxford, originally from Bohernasup, Ballina.
