When Sheer Bliss launched in Cong in recent months it provided the town with its first beauty salon, making it easier for visitors and residents of this picturesque area to get their beauty treatments done locally. Tracey Burke, the lady behind the venture, is now preparing for the upcoming Christmas party season when demand for her beauty services will no doubt be in demand.
“It’s been so far so good, I’ve been having a good run up to now and from working in other salons I’m well aware that a few quiet weeks now will end once the parties start happening. It’s been great going into business for myself. I love the comfort of it, you can come and go as you please and you don’t mind putting in the longer hours either because it’s all an investment in the business for the long-term.
“I’m the only beauty salon in the area, there’s a hairdresser here already, and while Cong itself may not be the busiest spot, it’s got a good catchment area with clients coming from Cross, Maam, Shrule and beyond; so hopefully I’m bringing more business to the area and I already had a good clientele base when I started.”
