President Michael D Higgins joined more than 700 primary schoolchildren from all over the country to celebrate the National FÍS Film Festival in the Helix on Wednesday.
The event celebrated the five minute films produced by the children from 24 schools across the country. Local winners were Gortskehy NS, Hollymount, who won the Outstanding Achievement in Film Making for Horror.
Commenting at the FÍS Film Festival, Anne White, National Council for Curriculum and Assessment, said: “FÍS is about children and teachers working together in a highly creative and energising way.
