Westport Radio 98.2fm (WRFM ) is going from strength to strength since it began simultaneously broadcasting on FM as well as on the internet in October, with about 2,000 listeners a week.
According to station manager Stephen O’Brien, WRFM now has over a thousand listeners online and about as many tuning in on their radios every weekend.
WRFM is a Community Radio Station run by volunteers and broadcasts from its studios in the courtyard on James Street, Westport.
The station broadcasts from 8am to midnight every Saturday and Sunday, at 98.2fm on your radio, and streams live on www.wrfm.ie over the world wide web.
The station is currently looking for sponsors and volunteers for its programmes.
Volunteers are also sought for producing and presenting programmes.
