A lucky Prize Bond holder from Mayo has scooped the monthly Prize Bond jackpot of €500,000. The €500,000 is awarded every month and this month’s winning bond was purchased in 2001.
The Prize Bond Company announced a major change to its prize structure in September 2007 to mark the 50th anniversary of the scheme in Ireland. This change saw the top prize increased to €1 million, up from the previous top prize of €150,000. All eligible Prize Bonds are entered into all Prize Bond draws.
