A Galway woman accused of murdering a man in Salthill more than three months ago has consented to being further remanded in custody for two weeks pending completion of the book of evidence.
Maura Thornton (30 ), with an address in Upper Salthill, is charged with the murder of 59-year-old Kevin Joyce, a Co Mayo native, at an apartment in Salthill on July 31, 2011. Thornton appeared before Dublin District Court on Tuesday and was remanded in custody, by consent, for another two weeks to allow time for the preparation of the book of evidence.
